With the National Bank’s announcement on January 19 that it will not raise interest rates, Public Bank has also announced a revision of its time deposit rates as of January 20, with most of the time deposit offers reduced and now only up to 4.10% p.a. can be obtained.
According to the official websites of Public Bank (Public Bank) and Public Islamic Bank (Public Islamic Bank), the time deposit offers have been updated from January 20. Users can choose to deposit for 3 months, 6 months, 7 months, 9 months, 12 months, 13 months, 15 months, 18 months and 24 months.
It is worth noting that this term deposit offer is divided into Public Bank and Public Islamic Bank, with the term deposit offer offered by Public Islamic Bank offering higher interest rates.
1. Public Islamic Bank Time Deposit Offer
Date: 20 January – 31 March 2023
Minimum deposit amount: RM5,000
Interest Rate.
3 months – 3.50%p.a.
6 months – 3.90%p.a.
7 months – 3.95%p.a.
12 months – 4.10%p.a.
13 months – 4.00%p.a.

a. 7-month, 13-month and 24-month time deposits can only be placed through the bank counter.
