Attention Public Bank users, PB engage APP will no longer support old Android OS cell phones.
According to Public Bank, starting from March 22, 2023, the PB engage APP will no longer be available for cell phones with Android 8.0, 8.1 and 9.0 operating systems.
Public Bank noted that outdated operating systems, such as Android 9 and below, will no longer receive security updates from Google, which could expose the phones to cyber and malware attacks.
Banco Popular is urging users to update their phones to the latest operating system or Android 10 and above to ensure that they can conduct their banking transactions in a secure and uninterrupted manner.
Simply put, only Android phones running Android 10 or above will continue to be able to use PB engage APP from March 22, 2023, older phones will no longer be able to use and get updates to PB engage APP.
To find out which version your phone is running, you can open your phone’s settings and go to “About Phone” and it will show you which version of Android your phone is running.
