04/06/2022

According to Proton, a total of 9,792 new vehicles were delivered in May, including both domestic and foreign customers, and Proton’s sales in May increased by 3.7% compared to the same month last year, when 8,839 new vehicles were delivered.

Proton’s total sales to May were 45,337 units, placing it in second place in the country’s car market. The number one position remains with the second domestic car company (Perodua).

Proton delivered 2,779 Proton X50s to customers in May, compared to 1,554 Proton X50s in April. 692 Proton X70s and 387 Proton Exora units were sold in May, respectively.

Proton is working hard to improve the shortage of spare parts for its cars, which is causing owners problems with repairs and maintenance. Proton has set up a working group, led by Chief Executive Officer Lee Chun Wing himself, with weekly reports and meetings to address the parts shortage and restore consumer confidence in Proton’s after-sales service as soon as possible.
