According to a Facebook post by Proton, the new Proton Exora will be launched on August 19, 2022, and it is generally believed that it will only be a minor facelift.
According to the Facebook post, the Proton Exora is likely to get a turbo engine, most likely with the same 1.5L three-cylinder turbo engine as the Proton X50.
Proton Exora was launched by Proton in 2009 as a multi-purpose family car (MPV). In 2011, Proton launched an upgraded version of Proton Exora with a 1.6L turbocharged engine. This was followed by several minor facelifts in 2010, 2011, 2015, 2017 and 2019.
Proton Exora is currently available in 2 models, the 1.6T Executive CVT and the 1.6T Premium CVT, priced at RM59,800 and RM66,800 respectively.
