Protecting Your Public Bank Account: How to Freeze and Secure Your Funds

01/08/2023

If you detect any unauthorized transactions or credit card fraud on your Public Bank account, you can take immediate action to prevent further unauthorized access and preserve your money by freezing your bank account or bank card online.

According to Public Bank, users have many alternatives for taking action, including disabling the PBe User ID, deactivating the credit or debit card, or canceling the ATM card.

Steps to freeze your bank account or bank card:

  1. Visit the fraud page on the PBe website.
  2. Choose the specific function you want to deactivate.
  3. Enter the required information.
  4. Input the PAC (Personal Access Code) verification code.
  5. Deactivate the relevant function.

However, it’s important to note that once you deactivate the PBe online banking account or the credit/debit card, you won’t be able to log in to PBe or use the bank card for transactions. If you wish to reactivate PBe or the bank card, you must visit a bank branch to process the reactivation.
