The nationwide (except Sarawak) movement control order is being implemented until Februay 4th (Thursday). As for whether the movement control order will be extended after February 4th, the government is still yet to decide.
According to Oriental Daily News, Senior Minister Of Defense, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri stated that Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin will hold a meeting of the National Security Council (MKN) on February 2nd (Tuesday) to discuss whether to extend the Movement Control Order (MCO).
The current MCO has already affected the income of many business. If the government completely shuts down the economy, this will undoubtedly stifle the source of business income.
Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri said that the government does not want the citizens to suffer the disease, as well as they does not hope that the citizens will starve to death without an income.
From the current situation, the government will not completely block the economy situation after February 4th because it will seriously affect a lot of businesses, but they will tighten the standard operation procedures (SOP). However, we should reduce going out to the public no matter what policy the government has implemented. If you are forced to go out to work or buy daily food, please wear a mask, wash your hands freduently and keep one meter away from other people.
