Answering questions from reporters, Prime Minister said the government has not yet discussed and formulated the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Eid al-Fitr, but the government will not prevent the Ramadan bazaar from being held this year.
Epidemic in the country is increasing day by day and the Ministry of Health expects that there will be more than 30,000 new cases in the country every day in the coming month. Fellow Malaysians are worried that the epidemic will affect Ramadan and Eid this year, so they are asking the prime minister whether to allow the Ramadan bazaar to operate.
This year, Eid al-Fitr is expected to be on May 3 and 4, so Ramadan is expected to be from April 3 to May 2, less than two months away. The government will meet soon to discuss the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Eid al-Fitr and Ramadan.
