Primary and secondary schools will start their final holidays this coming weekend!
According to the school schedule and holidays released by the Ministry of Education (KPM), primary and secondary schools will have their final holidays from February 25 and 26. This final holiday will last for 23 days.
Schools in Group A states (Johor, Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah) will be closed from February 25 to March 20, 2022 and the new school year will start on March 21.
Schools in Group B states (Perlis, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca, Pahang, Sabah, Sarawak, Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya) will enjoy a 23-day final holiday from February 26 to March 20, 2022, with the new school year starting on March 21.
The new school year for primary and secondary schools from 2022 onwards will start in March and each school year will have 3 semesters. The 1st semester will be from March 21 to June 11/12, the 2nd semester will be from June 12/13 to September 10/11, and the 3rd semester will be from September 11/12 to March 11/12.
