Primary and secondary schools in the country will enjoy another five days of holidays in November.
According to the Ministry of Education’s 2021 Holiday School Schedule, primary and secondary schools will enjoy five days of Tu Deepavali holidays from November 3 to 7. This year, Tu Deepavali falls on Thursday, November 4.
All state primary and secondary schools in the country (except Sarawak) will enjoy the Deepavali holiday from November 3 to November 7, 2021. Both Group A states with weekly vacations falling on Friday and Saturday and Group B states with weekly vacations falling on Saturday and Sunday will be entitled to 5 days of holidays.
It is worth mentioning that primary and secondary schools in Sarawak are only entitled to 4 days of school holidays for Deepavali, i.e. from November 4 to November 7. This is because Deepavali is not a public holiday in Sarawak.
After the Deeepavali school holiday, primary and secondary schools will have a three-week end-of-year school holiday from 10 or 11 December to 31 December.
Deepavali School Holiday: 3 November – 7 November 2021
Year-end school holiday: December 10/11, 2021 – December 31
