Attention! Primary and secondary schools in Kedah will return to school from November 21, while those in Perak, Perlis, Penang and Sabah will return to school from November 22.
According to a release from the Ministry of Education, primary and secondary schools in Kedah will return to school from November 21, while primary and secondary schools in Perak, Perlis, Penang and Sabah will return to school from November 22. Primary and secondary schools will be required to return to school in group shifts.
The classes involved in the group shifts include Primary 1 to 6 and Secondary Prep to Secondary 4. Students and parents are encouraged to check with their schools to find out how the group return is actually implemented.
Kedah, Perak, Perlis, Penang and Sabah entered the fourth phase of recovery from November 8. According to the guidelines previously released by the Ministry of Education, when a state enters the new phase of recovery, schools in that state will have a 2-week transition period to prepare before adopting the resumption guidelines for the new phase of recovery after 2 weeks.
Only Sarawak and Kelantan are currently in Stage 3 recovery, and it is believed that they will advance to Stage 4 recovery in the coming weeks.
