POS reports loss of RM5.25 million in second quarter.

23/08/2022

POS Malaysia reported a loss of RM5.25 million in the second quarter of 2022, up from RM121.84 million in the same period last year, according to the company’s results.

POS turnover fell by 11.30% in the first six months of the year, as people started to switch from online to brick-and-mortar spending after the government lifted the embargo at the end of last year.

POS has become accustomed to losing money all year round and many people are criticising the way POS operates and the attitude of its staff. Many people have had bad experiences with POS, such as missing parcels, damaged parcels, and negligent attitude of counter staff.

POS is open every Monday to Friday and only half day on Saturdays, with a few branches open 24/7 on Saturdays and closed on public holidays. Most POS are only open until 5pm or 6pm in the evening.

POS can deliver mail or parcels to any corner of the country, which is not possible with other courier companies.
