The government started to impose sales tax (SST) on new cars sold in the country from July 1, and various car manufacturers in the country have raised the prices of their cars.
Perodua has updated its price list for each car model on its official website, and these prices include the sales tax (SST), but do not yet include car insurance.
Perodua’s most popular car is the Myvi, the price of the Perodua Myvi has increased by RM800 to RM1,100, while the price of the Bezza and Axia will not be adjusted too much.
The price for West and East Malaysia will also be different, the price for East Malaysia is about RM2,000 more expensive than West Malaysia due to the transportation fee.
Consumers who placed their orders only in July may need to wait for a while before they can successfully pick up their cars, as the domestic car manufacturers have accumulated a large number of orders before June 30.
The effective date of this price list is July 1, 2022.
