Perodua sold 127,343 new cars in the first half of 2022, an increase of 30% compared to 97,290 units sold in the same period last year.
According to Perodua, the second domestic car company in Malaysia, sales were strong from January to June 2022, with the Myvi, Axia and Bezza continuing to be Perodua’s top three sellers, thanks to the sales tax exemption.
Myvi continues to be Perodua’s best-selling car with 38,039 units sold in the first half of the year, while Axia is second with 29,183 units and Bezza is third with 28,719 units sold.
Perodua sold 21,164 new cars in June, compared to 1,009 last June. Last June the country still implemented the action control order.
After the end of the sales tax exemption, Perodua’s car models increased in price from RM723 to RM4,674, an increase of 1.63% to 6.38%.
