According to Paultan.org, Perodua delivered 26,759 new cars in March and 25,654 in April, which means a 4.1% drop in sales. The drop in sales was mainly due to a shortage of on-board chips and supplies.

Perodua sold 87,278 units in the first four months of the year, up 11.5% compared to 78,308 units in the same period last year, with the Myvi, Axia and Bezza all being popular Perodua models.

Perodua expects to reach its target of 247,800 new vehicles this year, and today Perodua has already achieved 35% of its sales.

According to sources, Perodua will launch the new generation of the Perodua Alza in June, which according to online sources will support Android Auto and Apple Carplay, as well as the EPB electronic handbrake and ambient lighting. The new generation Perodua Alza may be available in three trim levels, X, H and AV versions.

The new Perodua Alza may be powered by a 1.5L Dual VVT-i engine with 104HP and 138Nm of peak torque, and from what has been revealed so far, the new Perodua Alza will have a DNGA body architecture with the advantages of higher rigidity, lower centre of gravity and lighter weight.
