Perodua Axia facelift will be available for pre-sale as soon as February.

30/01/2023

Perodua is expected to launch a major facelift for one of its best-selling models, the Perodua Axia, and open pre-sales as soon as February or March! The Perodua Axia is an economical A segment hatchback launched by Perodua in 2014 to replace the Perodua Viva. Once launched, due to its affordable price and advanced configuration, it has been one of the best-selling cars in Malaysia for many years.

There have been constant rumors that Perodua will introduce a facelift for the A segment hatchback in 2023. According to the latest news, the Axia facelift is expected to be officially opened for pre-sale at the end of February or early March, but the price is expected to increase by about RM3,000 to RM5,000.

The facelifted Axia is likely to ditch the 4-speed automatic transmission in favor of a newer and more advanced dual-mode CVT (D-CVT). At present, Perodua has gradually phased out the 4E-AT gearbox and replaced it with D-CVT (Dual Mode CVT). For example, Myvi, Ativa and Alza all use this gearbox after facelifts.

In addition, after the big facelift, it is expected to be equipped with more advanced equipment, including ASA 3.0 system, automatic high and low beam adjustment, lane departure warning, lane departure correction, side blind spot detection, reversing blind spot detection and reversing camera etc.
