09/06/2022

People with expired driver’s licenses are urged to renew their licenses by June 30!

According to a message from the Bureau of Land Transportation (JPJ), people with expired licenses must renew their licenses by June 30, or they may have to retake the test.

In order to reduce the financial burden on people and give them more time to renew their licenses, JPJ announced on January 13, 2021 that people with expired licenses will still be allowed to drive on the road. However, this exemption will expire on June 30, 2022.

If you have an LDL license that is 2 years past due, you must renew it by June 30 or retake it. People who have a PDL license that is more than 1 year overdue must also renew by this date.

If you have a CDL, PSV or GDL license that is more than 3 years overdue, you must renew it by June 30 or you may face a retake.

Interested parties can renew their licenses through JPJ counters, POS or myeg.
