Parents are advised to watch out for symptoms of Covid-19 co-infection in children.

Parents are reminded to monitor out for symptoms of Covid-19 co-infection of their children.

Parents have been warned to watch out for any health symptoms in their unwell children, especially any indications of a co-infection with Covid-19.

Parents should watch out for signs that could point to the existence of additional infections, according to Dr. Ajit Pal Singh Raina. They may believe that their children just have the flu, but in reality, Covid-19 and the flu or other viruses could also be co-infected in their children. If your child complains of fatigue or muscle aches, pay attention to them.

Children were particularly at risk for the multi-system inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C), especially given the rise in Covid-19 infections brought on by the Omicron strain.

According to reports, there was an increase in the number of daily beds used for paediatric patients aged 0 to 11 in Health Ministry institutions, with 1 MIS-C case reported for every 3,200 illnesses in children.

Chest pain, fever, vomiting, dehydration, and shortness of breath are a few MIS-C symptoms. A paediatrician working at a hospital has a nightmare managing MIS-C infections.

In order to vaccinate the remaining children in the nation, the National Covid-19 Immunization Programme for Children (PICKids) needed to be intensified.

In order to vaccinate children under the age of five, Pharmaniaga was in the process of submitting new data from China to the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA).

Although children are priceless, just 50% of them receive vaccinations. There may also be co-infections, and cases among children aged 5 to 11 are known to be particularly common. Children are being treated at our hospitals and intensive care units. Parents should take their children to obtain their Covid-19 vaccinations so that this can be avoided.

It was crucial that they have their Covid-19 booster shots. We would need to concentrate on the first booster because there is very little take-up for the second booster. In comparison to other places, the country had a rather modest Delta wave.
