Pakatan vows to enact anti-hopping legislation and conduct a redelineation process.

Pakatan Harapan (PH) today unveiled the “Tawaran Tindakan PH Johor” (PH Action Offers), which focuses on rebuilding the people’s economy, safeguarding their well-being, and establishing a clean, efficient, and dignified administration.

Aminolhuda Hassan, chairman of the Johor Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah), Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh, chairman of the Johor PKR, and Liew Chin Tong, chairman of the Johor DAP, have all released their manifestos for the state election in Johor.

The manifesto’s “offers” include lobbying for a full opening of the Johor-Singapore border using a test-and-release approach to allow Johoreans working in Singapore to travel while adhering to the Ministry of Health’s standard operating procedures (SOP) (MOH).

The reopening of borders will breathe new life into Johor’s housing market, which is currently witnessing an overstock of houses valued at RM500,000 and above.

PH also promised to close the development gap between districts by implementing a comprehensive development plan for North, East, Central, and South Johor, as well as boosting tourism programmes, attracting strategic industry investments that offer quality employment to graduates, and creating incentives and ecosystems to assist women in returning to work and upgrading childcare centres.

By emphasising contemporary agriculture, e-commerce, robotics, and other significant areas in Johor, as well as enhancing the quality of public transportation, the alliance also vowed to grant a start-up capital of between RM5,000 and RM10,000 to potential young entrepreneurs.

It seeks to give selected B40 in each district a 10% deposit toward the purchase of a motorcycle.

The Johor Health Card and Senior Citizens Takaful Scheme would be reintroduced, as well as the Johor Prihatin Housing Scheme (SPPJ) and Johor Youth Housing Scheme (SPBJ), the Women’s Health Scheme, and the Kad Ibu Special Ta’azim (KIST) programme, according to PH.

It will also establish anti-party jumping legislation, perform a redelineation exercise, and provide equal funding to government and opposition assembly members.
