The Pakatan Harapan Cost of Living Committee has urged the government to take immediate action to rein in the skyrocketing prices of commodities including flour, condensed milk, paprika and chicken.
The Pakatan Harapan Cost of Living Committee said the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs needs to take immediate action on this.
“While flour is now priced at RM3 per kilo, it is 50 sen more expensive than before, while condensed milk is now priced at RM3.80, up 60 sen.”
“Similarly, small red peppers used to sell for RM17 per kilo but now they sell for RM25 per kilo.”
“We urge the Ministry of Trade and Consumer Affairs to immediately launch comprehensive enforcement across the country.”
