PN and BN will form a Perak state government.
After the Barisan Nasional (BN) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) agreed to form the state government, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad will be appointed as Perak Mentri Besar.
According to a source close to PKR, the deal has been reached between the two coalitions and is now awaiting approval from Perak’s Sultan, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah.
The agreement has been reached. The Mentri Besar will be Saarani. And PH representatives, such as DAP’s Abdul Aziz Bari, will be appointed to the state executive council, according to Malay Mail.
Saarani, the Perak BN chairman, has been invited to meet with the Perak Ruler at noon today.
Prior to the meeting with the Sultan, Perak DAP secretary Howard Lee was seen with Saarani at the Umno building earlier today.
According to the source, PKR representatives will also congregate at the Impiana Hotel.
In the 15th General Election, PH won 24 seats in the state, while BN won nine. With 33 seats, both coalitions can form the state government.
Perikatan Nasional secured the remaining 26 seats.
