Over 300,000 children have been fully vaccinated.
As of yesterday, 308,116 children aged five to eleven years had finished their vaccination under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids), accounting for 8.7% of all children.
According to the COVIDNOW website, a total of 1,390,105 children in this age group have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine, accounting for 39.2 percent.
In the case of adolescents aged 12 to 17, a total of 2,869,234 people (92.2%) have completed the immunisation, with 2,971,696 people (95.5%) receiving at least one dose.
Meanwhile, 15,965,602 adults in the country have received the booster dose, representing 67.9% of the adult population, while 22,960,229 (97.6%) have finished their vaccinations and 23,236,925 (98.8%) have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
A total of 55,755 Covid-19 vaccine doses were distributed yesterday, including 5,767 booster shots, 38,467 second doses, and 11,521 first doses, increasing the total number of vaccine doses dispensed under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 69,489,172.
Meanwhile, a total of 16 deaths were reported yesterday, according to the Health Ministry’s GitHub page, with Perak reporting the most cases with five, followed by Pahang, Penang, and Selangor with two each.
Each of the states of Johor, Perlis, Sabah, Sarawak, and Kuala Lumpur reported one instance.
