Over 15.6 million adults in Malaysia have received a Covid-19 booster dose, according to CovidNow.
As of yesterday, 15,613,982 people, or 66.4 percent of the adult population in the country, have gotten the Covid-19 booster dose.
According to the CovidNow website, a total of 22,948,364 people, or 97.5 percent of the adult population, have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, with 23,224,510 people, or 98.7%, having received at least one dose.
A total of 2,848,270 adolescents aged 12 to 17 have finished the immunisation, accounting for 91.5 percent of the group, while 2,945,627 have received at least one dose, accounting for 94.6 percent.
Under Malaysia’s National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children, a total of 1,305,766 children, or 36.8% of the country’s kid population, have received their first dose of the vaccine (PICKids).
A total of 31,595 vaccine doses were given out yesterday, with 13,054 being first doses, 890 being second doses, and 17,651 being booster doses, bringing the total number of vaccine doses given out under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 68,675,263.
Meanwhile, according to the Health Ministry’s GitHub page, 34 people died as a result of Covid-19 yesterday, with the biggest number of deaths in Johor and Kedah (each with six instances), Selangor (five cases), and Perak (three cases).
Pahang, Pulau Pinang, Sabah, Sarawak, and Terengganu each reported two cases, while Kelantan and Melaka each reported one case.
