The number of patients admitted to hospitals for treatment of coronary diseases in our country is climbing and the public is urged not to take it lightly!
According to a message from Health Minister Khairy, the number of hospital admissions has been increasing for the past seven days, in all 11 states and territories, ranging from 3% to 87%.
As of 12:00 noon on November 17, we have 6,288 new confirmed cases. Our new cases, which once fell below the 5,000 mark, have now surpassed 6,000 again. The number of new cases in the Klang Valley is increasing.
Hospitalization rates in Kuala Lumpur and Malacca jumped 87% and 80% respectively. Hospitalization rates in Negeri Sembilan increased by 39%, Kedah and Perak by 18%, Johor by 11%, Selangor by 10%, Terengganu by 5% and Penang by 4%.
Our bed occupancy rate also reached 68%, and has reached 92% in Terengganu, 83% in Malacca and 81% in Kedah.
People are urged to wear masks properly, avoid crowded places and get booster vaccinations.
