We will enter the Northeast monsoon season from November 7!

According to the report issued by the Meteorological Department of Malaysia, the country will enter the Northeast monsoon season earlier than expected, which will last until March 2023. During this period, there will be four to six persistent rainstorms.

According to the Meteorological Department, persistent heavy rains will bring flooding to low-lying areas and coastal areas. The risk of flooding will increase if the rainstorms coincide with high tides.

The Bureau of Meteorology has also released a schedule of high tides, namely November 6-11, November 22-27, December 7-12 and December 22-26 in 2022, and January 6-10 and January 21-25 in 2023.

In addition, large waves will also occur in the South China Sea region during the northeast monsoon.

The public is urged to be vigilant and pay attention to the latest news from the Meteorological Bureau.
