OPPO demonstrated 240W SuperVOOC flash charging technology at the 2022 Mobile World Congress (MWC 2022), which charges a 4500mAh battery from 0% to 100% in just 9 minutes.

OPPO launched the first generation of flash charging (SuperVOOC) 6 years ago, allowing a 2500mAh battery to be fully charged in 15 minutes. OPPO has now showcased the latest 240W flash charging technology,  which can charge a 4500mAh battery from 0 to 100% in 9 minutes.

OPPO’s latest flash charging technology uses 24V/10A to charge through USB-C. The phone can be fully charged in 9 minutes, and it can also be charged to 50% capacity in 3 minutes and 28 seconds.

OPPO chargers are compatible with various mainstream charging protocols such as PD and PPS. One charging head can supply power for multiple brands of mobile phones and notebooks, which can realize the true meaning of technology and environmental protection.

However, it should be noted that 240W flash charging is still in the laboratory stage. 240W flash charging needs to solve many problems such as heat generation and battery loss. It is generally expected to be available at the end of this year or next year.
