One million booster appointments will be issued from tonight to tomorrow! Keep an eye on MySejahtera if you haven’t had your booster yet!

05/01/2022

Yesterday (4th), ProtectHealth, which is responsible for implementing the national vaccination program for the new crown, announced that from now on, all PPVs will no longer accept people to receive booster shots in the form of Walk In. I’m sure those who have not yet received their booster shots are dismayed to hear this news, as not long ago people were urged to register for booster shots at PPVs on radio stations and websites!

Just last December, the Ministry of Health said that from February 2022, all people over 60 years of age who have received all brands of vaccines, as well as people over 18 years of age who have received Sinovac vaccine, will be required to receive a booster shot before they are considered fully vaccinated. Dr Mahesh Appannan tweeted: Yesterday was a record day for the booster program in Malaysia. More than 230,000 people have received their booster shots. Meanwhile, over 700,000 vaccine appointments will be sent overnight to next week. More than 1 million more appointments are expected to be sent to people tonight and tomorrow.

Of course, people can register for the booster waiting list at private clinics or vaccination centers in a number of ways, including by visiting them at home, sending emails and phone numbers, and selecting their preferred PPV to register for the waiting list.

Previously, the Ministry of Health said today at the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Center (CPRC) Senior Principal Assistant Director of the Disease Control Unit that the authorities will issue more than one million booster appointments tonight and tomorrow (6th), so people who have not yet obtained an appointment can keep an eye on MySejahtera for the next two days!

Of course, the registration is subject to details, and PPV applications are limited to those who are eligible but have not yet been notified of their appointments in order to register for the waiting list. In addition, people can only register with one vaccination center to avoid confusion!

It is also important to note that people who have already received an appointment at MySejahtera only need to go to the appointment for their vaccination and do not register with any PPV as a waitlist. At the same time, registration on the waiting list for PPV private health facilities under the ProtectHealth program is free! The booster is completely free of charge, but if you choose to receive the Sinovac booster, you will have to pay for it!
