There will be a meteor shower tonight.

On the evening of May 6th and early morning of May 7th, the first summer meteor shower will appear! 50 meteors per hour are expected.

Because the orbits of meteor swarms are relatively constant, the Earth will pass through them on a regular basis, resulting in regular meteor showers.

Each year, the Aquarius meteor shower occurs between April 19 and May 28. From 9 p.m. on May 6, the Aquarius meteor shower will be visible.

After 9 p.m. on May 6, photographers and astronomy enthusiasts can glance up at the night sky to see 50 meteors flash across the sky per hour. Because May 6 is the sixth day of the lunar calendar, the meteor shower will be visible without interference from moonlight, making it an excellent observation opportunity.

Friends who enjoy photography or astronomy should remember to bring a camera, and a pal to a location with no light pollution and a broad field of vision on May 6. When going to isolated regions to see the meteor shower, remember to go together rather than alone for safety reasons.
