On December 31st, ALTEL Telecom will stop operations!
The reorganisation of the commercial activities of the ALTEL Group will result in the termination of ALTEL Prepaid service on December 31, 2022, according to information released by ALTEL Telecom. If you use ALTEL, you have a choice of four options.
The first choice is to switch from ALTEL to Celcom, which serves as ALTEL’s primary operating partner. Users may submit a refund request between October 4 and November 30, 2022.
The second choice is to decide to cancel ALTEL’s phone service and ask for a refund.From October 4 until November 30, 2022, customers can apply for refunds and termination numbers by calling the ALTEL helpline at 1300-13-3888.
Transferring to a different telecoms provider is the third choice. The customer must port out (choose to switch to another telecoms provider) by November 15, 2022. Users cannot request a refund if they wish to switch to another telecoms provider.
The user can choose option four, which is to take no action, in which case ALTEL will immediately transfer the customer’s number to the primary carrier, Celcom. On December 1, 2022, this transfer will start, and users won’t be able to seek refunds.
Notice! Users must refund by no later than November 30, 2022, and the funds will be credited to their bank accounts between December 1 and December 31, 2022.
