Notice! E-wallet accounts that provide or participate in eMADANI cash-out services will be blocked.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance of Malaysia, once any e-wallet account is found to provide or participate in the eMADANI e-wallet reward cash-out service, the relevant authorities will block the account and deprive the right to obtain eMADANI.

eMADANI electronic wallet reward is an electronic cash program launched by the government. All Malaysians aged 21 or above with an annual income of not more than RM100,000 can receive RM100 electronic cash issued by the government.

Eligible persons can apply through 4 e-wallet platforms from December 4, 2023 to February 20, 2024, namely Setel, ShopeePay, MAE and Touch ‘n Go eWallet. Each person can only get RM100 on 1 of the e-wallet platforms.

With the launch of the eMADANI plan, individuals or businesses providing cash-out services began to appear on the Internet. These individuals or merchants provide merchants’ QR codes to people who are interested in cashing out, and then after people scan the QR code and pay to the QR code, these individuals or merchants will remit money to the people through banks and take a commission of 5% to 10%.

The public is urged not to provide or participate in these cash-out activities. Any e-wallet account found to provide or participate in cash-out will face the penalty of having its account banned.
