According to the information on the BKM website, the BKM grant started to be distributed on June 27th and the whole process will continue until July 5th.
According to the information, there are 8.6 million people who will benefit from the second phase of BKM, namely 4 million families with monthly income up to RM5,000, 1.2 million widowed and single elderly people with monthly income up to RM5,000 and 3.4 million single people with monthly income up to RM2,500.
The second phase of BKM assistance cost RM1.73 billion, of which RM1.1 billion is the previously announced second phase assistance and the remaining RM630 million is the government’s enhanced assistance (BTT).
