New Prime Minister Anwar expected to continue handing out aid to low-income groups in his December mini-budget proposal!

25/11/2022

Will the unity government led by Anwar continue to give aid to the low-income group? The general expectation is that whichever camp is in power will continue to pay out aid to low-income groups.

Many people have high expectations for the new Prime Minister Anwar, who is expected to improve the lives of the people and make them better off. What the low-income group hopes most is also that the new government will continue to hand out aid.

According to the election manifesto of Hizbul Mujahideen, the new government will introduce the BSH to solve the problem of people’s living expenses.

The BSH was also introduced in 2018 when Tun Mar became prime minister, when the government started to target the payment of assistance to low-income groups, such as single mothers and families with multiple children, to receive higher payments. This measure was extended to the Mulyodin and Ishmael Shabir governments.

The previous government led by Ishmael Sabiri also announced in its budget presentation on October 7 that it would continue to pay out the BKM.

Thus, no matter which camp is in charge of Putrajaya, the low-income group will continue to receive the aid.

The new Prime Minister Anwar will convene a special session of Parliament on December 19 and will present a mini-budget, which will be announced in the budget.
