Najib proposes to open the period after the PF dividend payment and before Eid for members to make their last withdrawals!
According to a Facebook post by former Prime Minister Najib, the Employees Provident Fund Board (KWSP) will announce its latest dividend soon and the government should allow members to make their last i-Citra withdrawals during the period after the Board’s dividend announcement and before Eid al-Fitr.
In a Facebook post Najib also pointed out that the Malaysian stock market was affected by the political and action control orders, which in turn became one of the worst performing stock markets in the world. As for foreign stock markets, they continue to perform well, even at a record high rate of trading.
Najib also mentioned the approval of the CPF Board to invest in the United States during his term as minister, a decision that was criticized at the time. In 2017 when Najib was minister, the PF Board’s dividend payout reached 6.90%, while this year’s payout is forecast to be between 5.2% and 6.0%.
Najib said the youth leader of BN and Hizbul Islam supported Najib’s agenda to push for PF withdrawals. Najib hopes that the youth leader can continue to urge ministers to consider the launch of i-Citra’s last withdrawal plan.
