In January of this year, the Ministry of International Trade and Industry announced that our country will be receiving two new airlines, SKS Airways and MYAirline. Finally, the most recent MYAirline news is out.
As far as is known, MYAirline owns at least two Airbus A320-214 passenger planes. MYAirline is now actively hiring, particularly for the jobs of captain and co-pilot. It is anticipated that MYAirline would launch its online ticketing system soon.
MYAirline serves on the boards of several eminent aviation executives. Although it has been in operation since January 1, 2022, commercial passenger transit has not yet begun. The MYAirline-owned licence is in effect from January 1 through December 31, 2022, for a 12-month period.
MYAirline will directly compete with Capital A-owned AirAsia. Tan Sri Tony Fernandas, the chief executive of Capital A, however, claimed that he was unconcerned about the new airline’s entry. Yihan Ismail, the chief executive of Malaysia Airlines Group, questioned if there is room for new airlines in the local aviation market.
