The Ministry of Transport has launched the My50 monthly pass, which offers unlimited bus rides for 30 days for RM50 per month, and will be available from January 1, 2022.
The Ministry of Transport has been offering My30 monthly pass since last June and My30 will be discontinued on December 31, 2021. Those who have already purchased My30 can still use it until January 30, 2022.
My30 will be replaced by the Ministry of Transport’s new My50, which will offer unlimited rides on public transport under the National Infrastructure Corporation (Prasarana) from 2022 onwards for RM50 per month.
My50 will offer Selangorians access to the LRT, MRT, monorail and other public transport services, as well as Penang’s Rapid Penang Bus service with a monthly pass called Pas Mutiara My50, which it’s service has not yet been extended to the Rapid Kuantan service.
The government has allocated RM115 million to support the My50 monthly pass, which allows passengers unlimited public transport rides. Originally, each passenger would have to pay RM200, but now the government will subsidize RM150 and passengers will only have to pay RM50.
