The Public Health Malaysia Facebook page recently shared a post stating that many husbands suddenly gain weight and have enlarged bellies after marriage because they have lost their freedom and cannot continue to pursue their hobbies.
For the sake of their husband’s physical and mental health, the post recommends that wives give their husbands enough free space, encourage them to move their muscles more, explore their hobbies, encourage them to reward themselves, and allow them to go out and socialize with friends.
The post pointed out that many husbands were healthy and lively before marriage, but after marriage they were unable to continue doing what they loved, such as sports, fishing and other outdoor activities, because they had to devote themselves to their families.
“Some people even seem to be tied to anklets, and their every move is controlled.”
“Some people have to secretly send their purchases to the office because they are afraid to buy something to reward themselves.”
The post pointed out that men are different from women. Men will remain silent whether they are happy or sad. Keeping suppressing their emotions like this will increase the risk of psychological problems.
They can only “be themselves” in front of friends, so in order to take care of their husbands’ health, the post recommended that wives allow their husbands to go out to socialize with friends and relax.
