According to Malaysia’s Finance Minister Tunku Sefiru, the government will be offering discounts for early/on time payment of tertiary education fund board (PTPTN) borrowers in the 2022 Budget.
PTPTN borrowers will receive a discount of up to 15%!
This loan payment discount is divided into 3 categories.
1) 15% discount will be given to those who pay their loan in one go
2) Those who pay at least 50% or more of their loan will receive a 12% discount.
3) Those who make automatic monthly deductions/regular debt repayments will receive a 10% discount.
Although there are additional discounts for one-off payments, you should decide which package suite you better based on your circumstances.
