The National Recovery Council (NRC) has recommended the government to implement measures not to make the wearing of masks compulsory.
According to a message from the National Recovery Council (NRC) Chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin, the NRC has proposed that Malaysia implement a proposal not to make the wearing of masks compulsory for the public, and the Ministry of Health is still reviewing the proposal.
The Ministry of Health is of the view that the proposal of not making the wearing of masks compulsory needs to be discussed in depth, and that just because Singapore has implemented the measure of not making the wearing of masks compulsory, we must follow suit, as our situation may be different from that of Singapore.
Singapore has already relaxed the rules on wearing masks, which means that masks can be worn indoors and outdoors, except when travelling on public transport and visiting medical care facilities.
Many people also objected to the opening of our borders in April this year, but it seems that the government’s decision has not led to a new wave of epidemics in the country, which shows that the government made the right decision at that time.
