People who have not received the booster shot will also be allowed to eat, shop and pray at religious sites.
According to a message from Health Minister Khairy , the government will implement the new booster vaccination from April 1, 2022, which means that seniors over 60 years old and those over 18 years old who have received the Sinovac vaccine will need to receive a booster, otherwise MySejahtera will show that the vaccination has not been completed.
If these groups have not received their booster shots as of April 1, their MySejahtera will change from the current yellow color to white and will show incomplete vaccinations. However, these people will still be allowed to eat in parishes, enter shopping malls, work in the workplace and pray in places of worship.
Khairy also noted that the Ministry of Health needs one month to evaluate whether to abolish the MySejahtera sweeping registration measure. Khairy said the government will observe the pattern and trend of coronary infections in the country after the SOPs are relaxed and the country’s borders are opened on April 1. If there is no surge or crowding of the health care system, the Ministry of Health will announce the abolition of MySejahtera registration measures.
Khairy revealed that for now, the government still needs to rely on MySejahtera to inform the public of the need to know and take precautions should they come into contact with a confirmed case.
