The Ministry of Health will announce the walk in booster vaccination!
According to a message from Health Minister Khairy , a meeting of the Coronavirus Vaccination Task Force (CITF) will be hosted today and the walk-in booster vaccine will be announced after the meeting. Khairy noted that there are enough vaccines in stock for all adults to receive the booster.
The Ministry of Health requires a six-month interval between booster doses for people who have previously received the Pfizer vaccine and a three-month interval for people who have completed the Sinovac vaccine.
If you are 1 month or a few weeks apart, it is definitely not possible to get a booster earlier. However, if you are a few days apart, then the health care provider has the right to decide whether to let you have the booster earlier.
It is understood that many people are choosing not to get their booster for the time being, and up to 40% of the population misses their appointments for vaccinations after receiving them. The Ministry of Health is urging the public to get a booster to boost their immunity.
