The vaccination programme for children aged 5 to 11 years will start on February 3, with children in the Klang Valley being the first to receive vaccination against coronary diseases.
Parents are urged to monitor their children’s health status and take them to the nearest hospital immediately if they notice any irregularities.
The first thing to keep in mind is that parents should be aware of their child’s activities for 5 to 7 days after the vaccination and know if the child is experiencing any side effects from the vaccination.
The second thing to keep in mind is that parents can let their child live and play as usual because children are already very active. Parents just need to make sure that the child is not doing more strenuous activities than usual such as running, biking, swimming, and physical activity at school.
The third thing to keep in mind is that parents need to make sure their child is getting enough rest and eating properly. If you notice a lack of activity or poor appetite, then consider taking your child to the hospital or clinic for a checkup.
The most common side effects of vaccination are arm pain, and for milder side effects such as fever or fatigue, most of them are temporary and curable.
