Ministry of Health issues information on sequelae of covid, which may last 12 weeks or longer

According to information released by the Ministry of Health, patients with covid may continue to experience after-effects for up to 12 weeks after recovery, and in some cases, the after-effects may last longer.

Common sequelae of covid include drowsiness, difficulty breathing while performing activities, difficulty sleeping at night, coughing and restlessness. Sequelae may also occur in the respiratory tract, head, cardiovascular, skin, psychological, gastrointestinal, muscles and bones.

Sequelae of covid of the head include poor memory, poor concentration, headaches, sleep disturbances, peripheral neuropathy, dizziness and confused thinking. Respiratory sequelae include dyspnea and frequent coughing.

Cardiovascular sequelae include chest tightness, chest pain and palpitations. Gastrointestinal sequelae include abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, anorexia and loss of appetite. Patients may also experience joint pain and muscle pain after recovery.

In addition, skin rash, tinnitus, earache, sore throat and loss of taste and smell are all sequelae of ccovid. Many patients also experience symptoms of depression and anxiety after recovery.

People are urged not to take the sequelae of covid lightly and should try to avoid getting covid.
