The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has announced to extend the deadline for receiving BKC aid from December 31 to January 31.
According to a message from First Deputy Finance Minister Mohammad Shah, the Ministry of Finance will extend the BKC grant until January 31, 2022. This means that aid recipients can receive their aid in cash at BSN until January 31.
The third phase of the BKC payment will start from December 20, and recipients with bank accounts will receive the payment directly through their banks, while those without bank accounts will be able to receive the payment in cash at BSN Bank.
Originally, BSN Bank only opened counters for beneficiaries to receive their payments until December 31, but now it will be extended to January 31. Beneficiaries will have more time to collect their payments at BSN.
The BKC is a government program that provides assistance to the extremely poor, B40 low income group and M40 middle income group.
The December BKC payment is for the extreme poor group and the B40 low income group, and the beneficiary families will receive RM300. The other groups have already been distributed in September and November.
