The Ministry of Education (MOE) is releasing RM150 start-up grant to primary and secondary school students.
According to the Ministry of Education (MOE), the start-up grant will be disbursed to primary and secondary schools from January 12, 2023, and will then be disbursed to all students. Each student will receive RM150 regardless of their parents’ income.
This year, all students from Primary 1 to Secondary 4 will receive the start-up grant, while students who will start Primary 1 in March will receive the start-up grant as early as April 17.
The Bantuan Awal Persekolahan is a government-run grant program. Through this program, all primary and secondary school students will receive a grant of RM150, which will be distributed by the Ministry of Education to the schools, which will then distribute the grant to the students.
This program will benefit 4,364,002 students in 10,197 schools nationwide, involving RM654.6 million and RM3 million in aid.
