Meteorological Department releases weather forecast for the coming week, thunderstorms in some areas after mid-afternoon on New Year’s Day

The Klang Valley region, Northern Sabah and Western Sabah will see late afternoon rainfall on Lunar New Year’s Day!

 

The Malaysian Meteorological Department has released a weather forecast for January 27 to February 2. The low pressure system will stay away from Malaysia, which will result in hot weather with little rain in some parts of the country and afternoon rainfall in some areas.

 

The northern part of the peninsula such as Penang, Kedah, Perlis and Perak, and the eastern part of the peninsula Terengganu, Pahang and Kelantan will experience hot weather with little rain in the coming week. People in these areas will have a hot Lunar New Year.

 

As for the western part of Sabah, the northern part of Sarawak and the west coast of the peninsula such as Perak, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan and Melaka, there will be late afternoon rainfall. These areas will experience thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening.
