16/01/2022

Strong winds will continue in eastern Sabah until January 18, while several areas of peninsula will begin to experience hot weather and less rain.

According to the weather forecast issued by the Meteorological Department for January 17 to 23, strong winds will continue in eastern Sabah until January 18, bringing humid weather and continuous rainfall.

The Meteorological Department also predicts hot weather and little rain in West Malaysia, especially in northern areas such as northern Perak, Penang, Kedah and Perlis.

Every year, the country always experiences hot weather around the Lunar New Year, and this year should be no exception. Although the Meteorological Department predicted in early January that it will continue to rain during the Lunar New Year, the latest weather forecast shows that it will start to be less rainy and hot during the Lunar New Year.

We are currently at the end of the northeast monsoon season, when it will start to rain less and heat up. The country will then enter the alternate monsoon period in early March, which will bring rain again.
