The Meteorological Department issued a yellow rain warning, and there will be continuous rainfall in 5 states in the country.
According to a statement issued by the Malaysian Meteorological Administration on the afternoon of December 28, there will be continuous rainfall on the east coast of Sabah until January 2, 2022. The east coast of the peninsula will also have continuous rain from December 30 to January 1.
Once there will be rainfall that lasts more than 6 hours in a certain area, the Meteorological Department issued a yellow rain warning. People are urged to be more vigilant and avoid using roads and areas where floods oftenly.

Affected area: Sabah Tawau (Lahad Datu), Sandakan (Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran dan Sandakan) dan Kudat
B. Yellow rain warning (peninsula)
Date: December 30, 2021-January 1, 2022
Affected area:
1. Kelantan (Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang, Pasir Puteh dan Kuala Krai)
2. Terengganu
3. Pahang (Jerantut, Maran, Kuantan, Pekan dan Rompin)
4. Johor (Mersing)
