According to the weather alert issued by the Meteorological Department at 10:45am on February 25, there will be a red level persistent very heavy rainfall in Kelantan, Terengganu and Jerantut, Kuantan and Pekan in Pahang.
Meteorological Department has also issued an orange level rainstorm warning for several areas in Pahang. Persistent rainfall is also expected in Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak Pahang Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan and Johor.
When an area is expected to receive more than 150mm of rainfall in 24 hours, the Meteorological Department will issue a yellow level Super Heavy Rainfall Warning for the area. When an area is expected to receive more than 60mm of rainfall in 6 hours, the weather bureau will issue an orange-level rainstorm warning for the area. When an area is expected to receive more than 6 hours of rainfall, the Meteorological Bureau will issue a yellow level rainfall warning for the area.
