State elections in the six states of the West Malaysian Peninsula must be held by May next year at the latest. If you want to change your constituency, you can update your address on your card now.
It is expected that state elections will be held in May next year at the latest in six states in Peninsular Malaysia, namely Selangor, Penang, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu.
The Election Commission will allocate state constituencies based on the address on your Malaysia Card, so if the address on your Malaysia Card is not your latest address, you can go to the National Registration Office (JPN) to change your address. When changing your address, you need to bring relevant documents that prove your current address, such as water bill, electricity bill, broadband internet, etc.
As a result of the implementation of the automatic registration of voters who have reached the age of 18 this year, there are 5.8 million new voters nationwide, increasing the total number of voters to 21 million from the previous 15.2 million.
