Maxis 5G Access free trial will end on 15 September! If you don’t want to pay RM10 more per month, you should remember to stop your 5G Access subscription before 15 September.
According to Maxis website, the free trial period of 5G Access will run from 15 August 2023 to 15 September. If users want to continue using 5G network services after 15 September, they need to pay RM10 subscription fee.
Caution! If users just switch off their phone’s 5G connectivity, this is not possible to cancel the Maxis 5G Access subscription. Users must use Maxis APP or Hotlink APP to cancel the 5G Access subscription.
Maxis Postpaid 5G Access is RM10 per month, while Hotlink Prepaid 5G Access is RM5 per month, and Hotlink Postpaid 5G Access is RM10 per month. Maxis Postpaid and Hotlink Postpaid 5G Access are automatically renewed while Hotlink Prepaid 5G Access is not automatically renewed.
As it stands now, if you want to use 5G network service in Malaysia, you have to pay extra and only a few telecommunication companies are giving free access to 5G network to their subscribers. This is one of the reasons why 5G network usage in Malaysia is quite low.
