Top 10 Listed Companies in Malaysia by Market Capitalization (as of the beginning of July)

The market worth of the top 10 companies in our country has decreased as a result of the Federal Reserve speeding up the rate of interest rate increases and the onset of a bear market on the global stock market. The most valued listed firm in Malaysia is still Maybank, though!

With a market capitalization of RM102.822 billion at the beginning of July, Maybank remained the most valuable listed company in Malaysia. Early in May, Maybank’s market capitalization was RM106.533 billion, and at the end of the month, it was RM107.730 billion. This indicates that Maybank’s market value has decreased recently.

Public Bank, which has a market cap that is less than RM90 billion, is the second-largest listed firm. Beginning in July, Public Bank’s market capitalization was RM84.825 billion, down from RM89.872 billion at the start of June.

Petronas Chemicals (PCHEM), the third-largest listed company by market capitalization, has a market cap of RM72 billion, down from RM80 billion at the beginning of June and RM81.6 billion in May. Additionally, market capitalization is dropping month over month.

IHH Pharma and CIMB Group, with market capitalizations of RM56.768 billion and RM51.952 billion, respectively, were the fourth- and fifth-largest listed companies by market capitalisation. Comparative to the beginning of June, the market capitalisation of the 2 companies is also declining.

Market capitalizations for TENAGA and Hong Leong Bank are RM45.694 billion and RM44.351 billion, respectively, whereas Bank Negara’s market capitalization has considerably decreased and its share price has fallen below the RM8 threshold.

PMETAL, Petronas Gas (PETGAS), and Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd (MMHE) are the eighth- through tenth-largest listed businesses by market capitalization, with market capitalizations of RM39.22 billion, RM32.530 billion, and RM31.692 billion, respectively.
